Francesco Antonelli

Passionate homebrewer and National BJCP beer judge from Rome, Italy. I took up homebrewing in 2012 and right away started this blog where I talk about homebrewing, beer history, BJCP and beer styles.
I regularly write articles for Italian beer magazines (Fermento Birra, Cronache di Birra). I have been teaching homebrewing and beer-tasting courses for almost 10 years.
In 2020 I co-authored a book about beer brewing at home (Fare la birra in casa, Publigiovane). Co-founder and co-host of MashOut! Podcast, a weekly podcast about beer and homebrewing.
Check out my handbook about beer recipes: Homebrew To Style. It is free to download and constantly updated with new beer recipes.

Blog Posts

I mostly write in Italian on this blog, but sometimes I step out of my comfort zone and switch to English. The English posts I have written over the years are listed below. Currently, they are largely BJCP-related, but I plan to post more English content in the future.
